I am a native of West Texas whose family ties to the South Plains go back three generations. Raised in
the Hill Country community of Kerrville, I attended Angelo State University and Texas Tech
University. I spent 12 years during my early professional career as a GM, growing and developing a
small but successful restaurant concept in various metropolitan and rural markets across Texas.
My career in investment management began in 2008 at the cusp of the financial downturn, during one
of the most tumultuous economic periods in recent history. Despite the challenges, I was successful
in growing my business by building trusted client relationships, understanding their needs, and
developing appropriate solutions. Away from the office, I am a devoted family man, and father of
two; my son TJ, and daughter Kate. I married my wife, Lara, in 1999. She is an elementary school
Assistant Principal for Frenship ISD. I am actively involved in church events, serving various
children's ministries, and having served on the Finance Committee. I have spent time coaching youth
sports teams and local school events. I also enjoy golfing, hunting, and spending time at the lake
with my family.
